THE AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB NATIONAL AGILITY CHAMPIONSHIP TO AIR ON ESPN2
NEW YORK, April 6, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Kennel Club (AKC®) is excited to announce that the AKC National Agility Championship will air on ESPN2. The competition will be televised on Sunday, April 17th, at 5 pm ET. The National Agility Championship brings the top Agility athletes in the nation together for an exciting competition that is sure to thrill spectators.
This year's National Agility Championship, brought to you by presenting and official sponsors YuMOVE and The Farmer's Dog, was held April 1 – 3, 2022, at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, FL. More than 1,300 dogs and their handlers competed to become the National Champion in their respective jump height. Dogs entered competed in 8", 12", 16", 20", 24", or 24C" jump heights.
"Agility is a thrilling competition, and we're excited to bring it to ESPN viewers," said Carrie DeYoung, Director of Agility. "The best of the best competed, so it will be an action-packed show."
The broadcast will be hosted by ESPN's Phil Murphy, including play-by-play by sportscaster Carolyn Manno and analysis by Terry Simon.
