The American Graduate School in Paris Launches CFA Preparation Program Starting in February 2011
PARIS, Jan. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Graduate School in Paris launches a new training program for candidates to the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) exam. Classes take place in Paris, France, and are delivered in English. The next cohort starts on February 23, 2011, in preparation for the June 2011 CFA Level 1 exam.
The Chartered Financial Analyst is a widely recognized international professional certification setting global standards for competence, knowledge, skills and ethics in the sector of investment and finance. It is awarded by the CFA Institute to candidates who have passed a series of three sequential exams.
AGS offers preparation for each of the three level exams. Each training program consists of eighteen sessions of three hours each, conducted over the course of three or four months, based on a schedule designed to accommodate the constraints of working professionals.
The curriculum is based on the body of knowledge set forth by the CFA Institute along with the Learning Outcome Statements, covering four areas: Ethical and Professional Standards; Tools and Inputs; Asset Valuation; and Portfolio Management.
The program is headed by Professor Ayari, who has a ten-year experience in teaching finance in the US, Europe and Asia, and in training executives at various financial institutions in New York, Boston, and London (e.g. Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank Asset Management...)
Instructors teaching in this program are CFA Chartholders with academic and market experience.
Professor Ali Fatemi, who heads the School of Business and Economics at AGS says: "The CFA certification being one of the major hallmarks of professional development in the field of finance, it appeared as part of our mission to offer this new program as a natural continuity of our Master's degrees in finance and business."
