The American Fertility Association Launches New Website
New Site Provides Additional Infertility and Family Building Topics, Easier Navigation and Enhanced Professional Network
NEW YORK, June 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Fertility Association (The AFA) has rolled out its new website: http://www.TheAFA.org. The dramatic redesign represents the organization's commitment to the growing and diverse needs of its visitors. The new site is the culmination of a year of development based on extensive research conducted by a web design and engineering firm. Some of the many innovations include:
- Immediate access to related articles, fact sheets, and videos for each topic
- Intuitive navigation with more customized search options
- Streamlined access to The AFA's highly visited daily blog, and social media channels
The site's homepage welcomes visitors with a clean design, rotating billboard, and featured library articles and blog selections. Prominently placed is the statement "We have answers just for you" with seven key topics listed - Getting Pregnant, Infertility, Adoption, Third Party Reproduction, LGBT Family Building, For Men, and Preventing Infertility. From there, visitors are one click away from their answers.
A majority of the website's visitors search and link to The AFA's Professional Network of physicians, mental health professionals, adoption agencies, surrogacy agencies, and LGBT-friendly professionals to name a few. Significant enhancements were made to the Professional Network, including the addition of color photos of the professionals, biographies, detailed specialty information, and the ability to link to the professional's website, print, or import a vCard.

The new website offers state-of-the-art support for visitors through an extensive and expanded collection of library articles, fact sheets, HD videos, and webinars. Visitors can access The AFA's Facebook page, and join the conversation with thousands of others. Visitors can also submit questions for professionals, sign-up for The AFA's Connect monthly newsletter, and request a complimentary copy of The AFA National Infertility and Adoption Directory to be mailed right to their front door.
