The American College Welcomes Wealth Management Thought Leader David Blanchett As Adjunct Faculty Member
Blanchett to Deliver Instruction for Upcoming Wealth Management Designation, Goal-based Investing
BRYN MAWR, Pa., May 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The American College of Financial Services, the nation's only non-profit, accredited college devoted to financial services, announced today that David Blanchett, PhD, CFA, CLU®, ChFC®, CFP®, head of retirement research for Morningstar Investment Management LLC, will be joining the College faculty as an adjunct professor. A world-renowned thought leader in the fields of wealth management, retirement, and more, Mr. Blanchett will help teach and deliver the College's new Wealth Management Certified Professional (WMCP) designation beginning July 1, 2017.
Mr. Blanchett has also helped in the development of the WMCP, a research-based curriculum that focuses on creating diversified and efficient investment portfolios centered on the long-term goals of the client.

In his role at Morningstar, Mr. Blanchett works to enhance the Investment Management group's consulting and investment services and conducts research primarily in the areas of financial planning, tax planning, annuities, and retirement.
Mr. Blanchett's research has been published in a variety of industry and academic journals and has been recognized with a number of awards, most recently the Journal of Financial Planning's 2014 and 2015 Montgomery-Warschauer Award and the Financial Analysts Journal's 2015 Graham and Dodd Scroll Award.
Mr. Blanchett holds a master's degree in financial services from the American College of Financial Services, a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a doctorate in personal financial planning from Texas Tech University.
