The American College Partners with Intellect SEEC for Veterans Scholarship Program
BRYN MAWR, Pennsylvania, November 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
The American College of Financial Services, the nation's largest non-profit educational institution devoted to financial services, is pleased to announce that The American College Penn Mutual Center for Veterans Affairs and one of its major supporters, Intellect SEEC, have once again partnered to provide scholarships to active duty military members, veterans, and their spouses.
"We are very excited to work with The American College and be part of their efforts to support our veterans. We are very grateful and proud of their service to our country," said Pranav Pasricha, CEO of Intellect SEEC. "Our service men and women volunteer to make the ultimate sacrifice; this is one way for us to say thank you and help them find great careers back in civilian life. They demonstrate the highest level of dedication, integrity and community service: all traits we value very highly."
Intellect SEEC's support helps to provide scholarships to members of the armed services like Alec Sankey. Alec is a former Air Force Captain who spent six years in the service. Prior to his transition from the Air Force, he was the Controller responsible for a $675 million budget for the Air Force's second largest base. Now with Wells Fargo, Alec already has $10 million in new assets under management in his first seven months. Alec joined the financial services industry because he wants to continue helping people as he did while serving his country.
"The American College is thrilled to partner with Intellect SEEC in supporting active duty, veterans, and their spouses in education and second career opportunities," said Ted Digges, Executive Director of The American College Penn Mutual Center for Veterans Affairs. "Scholars like Alec represent a bright and fresh infusion of talent, possessing unique skills and a strong sense of service that will translate very well to the financial services industry."
Mr. Pasricha and Mr. Cid from Intellect SEEC joined other leaders in the financial services industry at the Second Annual Clambake, the Center's annual scholarship fundraising and networking event at Lake Geneva, Wis. The event featured an open panel discussion moderated by Fox & Friends host Heather Nauert, entertainment by Broadway star Marcus Lovett, and the presentation of the 2015 Soldier-Citizen Award. It was an opportunity for Intellect SEEC to strengthen their relationship with The College.
