The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) Elects Duncan E. Osborne President and Inducts 28 New Fellows
WASHINGTON, March 15, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), an elite association of highly-credentialed trust and estate lawyers, elected Duncan E. Osborne as president for the 2013-2014 year and inaugurated new officers and Fellows during its annual meeting in Maui, Hawaii, last week.

Mr. Osborne is a partner of Osborne, Helman, Knebel & Deleery, L.L.P., in Austin, Texas. His core practice is domestic and international estate planning with an emphasis on asset protection planning. One of the pioneers in the field of asset protection, Mr. Osborne conceived and was the original editor and a contributing author of the four-volume treatise, Asset Protection: Domestic and International Law and Tactics (West Group, 1995.)
Mr. Osborne is an ACTEC Regent, Chair of the FATF Task Force, and serves on the Asset Protection, International Estate Planning, International Membership, and Sponsorship Advisory Committees. He is also a Director of the ACTEC Foundation.
Mr. Osborne is an Academician and Vice President of The International Academy of Estate and Trust Law; a Member of the Foreign Activities of U.S. Taxpayers Committee for the American Bar Association (Section of Taxation), a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, and Former Member of the Advisory Board for the Asset Protection Journal.
