The American College Of Financial Services To Add Social Media Curriculum Through New Strategic Partnership
BRYN MAWR, Pa., Nov. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American College of Financial Services, the nation's largest non-profit educational institution devoted to financial services, announced the development of new curriculum focused on social media for advisors.
The initial course, "Social Media: Don't Get Left Behind," will offer financial professionals the practical skill sets required to develop, and manage, a successful social media presence.
To help develop the curriculum, The American College entered into a strategic partnership with Hearsay Social, a social media management provider serving financial advisors and insurance agents across the world's largest financial institutions.
"The American College of Financial Services has a longstanding reputation for offering innovative training and development of the highest standards for financial professionals, so we're excited to partner with Hearsay Social and include social media for the first time as part of our formal curriculum," said Robert Johnson, President and Chief Executive Officer of The American College.
The two organizations will work closely to create and implement this course and similar educational programs to provide opportunities for thousands to gain practical, hands-on knowledge and learn industry best practices, including those related to compliance.
Although the course is part of the Financial Services Certified Professional® (FSCP®) program, The American College believes these lessons will be valuable to all financial services professionals.
Classes for the course, slated to begin in January 2016, are limited, and interested advisors are encouraged to reserve their seats early. Learn more at (http://www.theamericancollege.edu/fscp/fa212/).
