The American College Enters CFA® Designation Prep Market
BRYN MAWR, Pa., July 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Investment professionals studying for the rigorous CFA® exams will now have the nation's largest non-profit financial university at their side: The American College of Financial Services.
Best known for the CLU® and ChFC® designations, The American College has been encouraged for years by professionals working in the investment community to support students preparing for the prestigious CFA designation, one of the most respected financial credentials in the world.
"This is a major investment as we broaden our curriculum to support those working in the investment arena," notes Dr. Larry Barton, President and CEO of The American College. "Our graduates are among the most successful insurance and financial planners in the country, and with an army of 155,000 graduates, the respect that agents and advisors have for our curriculum and prep efforts is enormously high. Leveraging that with a peerless program for both self-paced CFA candidates and those who want an online classroom experience means we intend to offer advisors a formidable choice of options," he adds.
A new website, AnalystSuccess.com, outlines the program. Materials and online tools will be available for ordering in September for those preparing for the June, 2014 Level I CFA exam.
"We're fully integrating the latest e-book and online learning technology with traditional print-based materials to deliver an entirely new way for the CFA candidate to succeed," Dr. Barton notes.
The Analyst Success program includes extensive study guides, question banks, and video-based answers for application exercises combined with a new technology platform that tracks student progress. For those who want online classes, both video instruction and live virtual classes are available. Following the launch of Level I materials this fall, resources for Levels II and III will be released in the fall of 2014.
Materials and support will be available worldwide. "More than 146,000 candidates from 168 countries registered for the June CFA exams this year," said Dr. Barton. "Since we have served students from around the world since 1927, this is a natural market for us and expands our mission as a public charity. We need for advisors to have the best credentials as they serve clients, and the CFA is one of those programs," he adds.
Those wanting to learn more about the Analyst Success program in advance of the fall launch for Level I can visit AnalystSuccess.com, and candidates in the U.S. can call an educational counselor at 888-292-8777.
