The American College Announces Jocelyn Wright As New Director And Chair, State Farm® Center For Women & Financial Services
BRYN MAWR, Pa., Aug. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American College announced the appointment of Jocelyn D. Wright, MBA, CFP® as the new Director of its State Farm® Center for Women & Financial Services and holder of the State Farm® Chair. Wright, a veteran of the financial services industry, will serve as the Center's chief ambassador tasked with leveraging research and increasing awareness around the challenges and opportunities that pertain specifically to women and financial services.

Wright's nearly twenty years of financial services experience includes serving as an Equity Research Analyst at JP Morgan Chase, Research Assistant at Nomura Securities, Inc., advisor with independent firms in Houston, TX and the Greater Philadelphia area, and Founder of The Ascension Group, where she continues to serve as Managing Partner. In addition, her financial education series, Debt Boot Camp, has been utilized by such organizations as Clarifi (formerly Consumer Credit Counseling of Delaware Valley (CCCS)) and Windsor Village United Methodist Church in Houston, TX. In the media, she is responsible for numerous financial assessment profiles for Black Enterprise Magazine, and served as host of local weekly radio show, The Bottom Line, on 900AM-WURD.
With The American College, Wright will teach FA 204: Marketing Financial Services to Women and contribute material on women's issues to other courses across the curriculum. She will also oversee the planning of the Center's annual Women's Leadership Academy Summit.
