The 7th Edition of BioVision, the World Life Sciences Forum Opens in Lyon

LYON, France, March 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The 7th edition of BioVision will start on Sunday 27th of March at the Palais des Congres convention center in Lyon and will last until Tuesday 29th of March.

Over 160 internationally renowned speakers and 2 000 attendees, scientists, businesspeople and representatives of civil society and non-governmental organizations will gather in Lyon during 3 days to debate major scientific, economic, and societal issues in life sciences.
Several global leaders will be speaking during the first conference Opening plenary session on Sunday, at 2pm ("Health, a right for all human beings, at any price?") including Zhu Chen, China Health Minister , Chris Viehbacher (Chief Executive Officer, Sanofi-aventis), Michel Kazatchkine (Executive Director, the Global fund to fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria), Michael Marmot (Professor and Director University College London International Institute for Society and Health), Claudie Haignere (President, Universcience) and Helga Nowotny (President, European Research Council). Nora Berra, the Secretary of State for Health in France, will conclude this first day. Valerie Pecresse, the French Minister for Higher Education & Research will be speaking on Tuesday 29th during the closing plenary session. Jose Angel Cordova Villalobos, the Mexican Health Minister, will also be one of the keynote speakers of BioVision2011.
Many conferences and debates between the various present actors to explain the latest advances in life sciences and to discuss about their societal implications and their ethical dimension.
