The 4th China (Xiamen) International Boat Show Kicks Off

XIAMEN, China, Nov. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The 4th China (Xiamen) International Boat Show, a gala of Chinese boat industry, raised its curtain in Xiamen's Wuyuanwan Bay recently and will last for four days. As one of China's fastest- developed boat shows with great influence, the show covers an area of 20,000 square meters on land, the same as its water exhibition area, which continues its routine land and water showing characteristics.  A total of 157 companies have participated at this year's event, a 17% increase from last year's. Among them are 27 overseas companies, 23% more than the last event. Over 160 boats from countries like China, Italy, France, and Australia will appear at Wuyuanwan Bay, which honors this show with the title: China's First Boat Show.

The show is approved by China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry and Xiamen Municipal Government and organized by China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry Boat Division, Xiamen Huli District, Xiamen Wuyuanwan Bay Development Headquarters, Xiamen Road and Bridge Construction Company, Xiamen Boat Association and Xiamen Road & Bridge Yacht Development Co., Ltd.

Besides showing off various kinds of boats, the four-day-long event will set up an elite lifestyle exhibition area, which includes the Jinhuitong Helicopter and luxury vehicles like Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Land Rover and Jaguar.

The opening ceremony for the 4th International Boat Show started with a grand boats cruise, including 11 matrixes made of sailing boats, motorboats, inflatable boats and yachts. They sailed past Wuyuan Bridge with various kinds of themes to display the leisure ocean life.  

It is the first time that such a boat show can hold so many activities including a welcome dinner, cocktail party, EDP pageant and photographing contest.

Xiamen International Boat Show has grown into one of fastest developing and influence-increasing boat shows in China. The show boosts the development of the local boat industry and boat culture, as well as acts as a bridge of international communication. The show has become an important platform of Xiamen's leading role in the ocean leisure industry.
