The 23rd China (Shanghai) International Boat Show 2018 (CIBS) was a Resounding Success, and Plans Are Underway for a Bigger Event Next Year at a New Location

The event, now with a recognizably international outlook, broke new records in terms of exhibitor and visitor numbers, with 35,061 visits from over 70 countries, a 15.2% increase from 2017.
Review of CIBS 2018
As the premiere event for the marine leisure industry, the event attracted many different exhibitors and visitors. Whether it was to seek franchise opportunities, places orders, find or consolidate contacts with suppliers, collect market information or source new products, CIBS played host to brands and buyers from around the world.
Now in its 23rd year, the exhibitor list continues to grow exponentially, with global established players displaying over 300 boats and yachts (including fishing boats, power boats, and sailing boats), and boat equipment like motors, navigators and other hardware - the entire industry chain was covered.
The Industry-Leading Boat Show
There were over 20 new product launches at the show, and many big brands chose to unveil their latest products at CIBS, signifying the relevance of this boat show in attracting the right crowd year after year. It's a trend that looks to continue as the next show is being planned.

2019: A New Location, A New Date
CIBS2019 will move from Shanghai New International Expo Center to National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), and its show date changes from April 26-29 to June 20-23.
