They will discuss Chinese brands' comprehensive capabilities of sustainable and healthy development on the road to internationalization.
Today, new technologies are arising rapidly. Emerging Internet technologies, led by mobile Internet, cloud and smart devices, are breaking conventions and impressively altering people's lifestyles and consumption habits. This is a revolution that both brings about new opportunities for Chinese brands and poses immense challenges to brand marketing and communication. Along with the surge of new information technologies, Chinese brands need to proactively adjust their products and technologies, and more importantly, to elevate both the comprehensive and marketing ability to secure sustainable development.
This year's competition, with the theme "Future Brand Marketing - to Win in the Mobile Internet Age," will take new growth opportunities empowered by the mobile Internet as a major assessment criterion. By emphasizing three dimensions - branding competitiveness, global competitiveness and market competitiveness, it will conduct insightful discussion and analysis of product features, brand images and marketing through the mobile Internet to address the question how companies should leverage the mobile Internet. In this way, the competition hopes to help Chinese companies re-build modern marketing concepts in this mobile Internet age and strengthen their future competitiveness.
So far, "Global Competitive Brands Top 10 from China" has been successfully held four times. During previous sessions, nearly 1,000 globally famed business leaders and scholars made insightful speeches that have far-reaching influences on companies in China, the U.S. and even the entire world. In addition to the prize "2014 Global Competitive Brands Top 10 from China," this year's competition will also give away four single prizes, which are the Most Sustainably Competitive Brand, the Most Popular Brand with Future Competitiveness, the Most Popular Brand with Core Competitiveness, and the Most Innovatively Competitive Brand, as well as an individual award entitled Global Competitive Brand Annual Brand Marketing Outstanding Individual Award. On the awarding ceremony, analysis reports including Globally Competitive Brands Development and Prediction Research Report will be released to help Chinese firms develop strategic thinking and catch opportunities in the mobile Internet age.
According to the organizer, the selection process consists of three parts, to ensure the activity is open and fair. First, online voting is open to the public, whose result accounts for 30 percent of the total weight. Second, based on data provided by authoritative third-party survey and research houses including IDC and from the information table submitted by the participating companies, a comprehensive evaluation is conducted, which accounts for 35 percent of the total weight. Third, the rest 35 percent of weight comes from assessment by the judge panel, a team made up of experts from respected manufacturers, patent organizations and the organizers. The judging panel will carry out a full-scale evaluation of the candidate companies and finally select 10 most competitive Chinese companies with the highest brand competitiveness index. The 10 winners to be announced together with the single prize at the FutureM Forum in Boston on Sept 16-18, a grand awards ceremony that will receive wide coverage on more than a hundred local and international mainstream media, to showcase the global competitiveness of Chinese brands in the mobile Internet age. With this trophy, they are also expected to expand easily into foreign markets, enhance overseas channels and take a more advantageous position in the future market.
In the new mobile Internet age, when the global industrial environment is undergoing profound changes, companies will embrace more opportunities as well as challenges. In this context, the 2014 Global Competitive Brands Top 10 from China, with insights and knowledge from top-notch experts and academic institutes, will help Chinese firms have a cutting edge in the future competition, elevate brand competitiveness and realize brand value, so as to finally succeed in the mobile Internet age.
