SHANGHAI, Nov. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- At midnight on October 21st, 2013, the UK Financial Times (hereinafter referred to as FT) announced its 2013 World's Top 100 Business School EMBA Programs. As a debut entrant, Antai College of Economics & Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (ACEM, SJTU) ranks No. 32 among the world's top 100, leading the Chinese local EMBA programs.
FT has released its World's Top 100 EMBA rankings once a year since 2001, using about 20 indicators to make a comprehensive assessment of business schools and their EMBA programs in terms of management innovation, internationalization and participants' careers. Attributable to its demanding selection criteria, FT ranking's authority is well established within the community of business school education.
Professor Zhou Lin, Dean of ACEM, SJTU stresses that "ACEM's EMBA program is not by accident shortlisted for FT's top 100 rankings. Over the past years, SJTU faculties take the lead among colleges and universities nationwide in terms of papers published in top international management journals. SJTU's disciplines such as finance, accounting and economics are among the top 100 worldwide in the authoritative QS discipline ranking, in particular, the discipline of operations ranks the 18th place. As to the international ranking of UTD paper publications, SJTU ranks No.110 (No.1 in mainland China), while Peking University No.113, Tsinghua University No.151 and CEIBS (China Europe International Business School) No.182. In addition, the courses offered by ACEM's EMBA programs are totally aligned with international trends, and delivered by selected international high-level faculties. The well-received international course modules such as North American and European modules as well as the unique "Corporate Profit Model Contest" enable this Chinese local EMBA program to be fully geared to the international benchmark.
