The 2012 Long Island Queens Have Been Crowned
PATCHOGUE, N.Y., Aug. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- After over 350 applications were submitted for a chance to compete for the coveted titles of Miss Long Island® and Miss Long Island Teen®, the 19 chosen finals took to the stage yesterday at Patchogue Theatre on their quest for the crowns!
Jessica Pinckney of Manhasset is the new Miss Long Island 2012, and Sabrina Mastrangelo of Bellmore took home the Miss Long Island Teen 2012 honors.
Pinckney (25) is employed by Ralph Lauren and seeks to use her new found fame to promote volunteerism among Long Island's youth. Mastrangelo (15) is a high school student determined to put an end to teen cyber-bullying by speaking in school across Long Island.
Both queens kicked-off their reigns this morning with a live appearance on News 12 Long Island, and are set to embark on amazing journeys for the next year, including representing all of Long Island at Donald Trump's Miss New York USA® pageant in January owned by K2 Productions.
