CARROLLTON, Texas, March 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The best way to avoid another Monday is to turn it into a Friday. That's what's happening at SXSWi as TGI Fridays joins forces with The Onion and A.V. Club to host Manic Monday – a bountiful blowout billed to be one of this year's must-attend parties.

Along with free, world-famous Fridays appetizers and hand-crafted cocktails from 4:30-6:30 p.m., check out the "Gallery of the Corner Bar" which will feature then-and-now happy hour memorabilia and give history geeks a lesson on how Fridays invented the world's first singles bar.

Manic Monday takes place tonight at Austin's Red 7, featuring performances by Courtney Barnett, Real Estate, Wooden Wisdom (Elijah Wood and Zach Crowie), Metz, and more. Doors fly open at 3:30 p.m. with music—including guest DJs—from 4 p.m. through midnight, and best of all, admission is FREE.
