Textura Welcomes David R. Smith as Executive Vice President of Global Sales
Executive Management Appointment Significantly Strengthens Textura Management Team.
CHICAGO, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Textura Corporation, the leading provider of collaborative solutions for the construction industry, announces the addition of David Smith to its management team as EVP of Global Sales
Mr. Smith brings a depth of experience in multi-product and international sales as well as strong knowledge of Software-As-A-Service (SAAS) applications. As Textura expands beyond its current applications and markets he will be responsible for all revenue opportunities associated with Textura's solutions for general contractors, subcontractors, owners, developers, sub-tier contractors and suppliers in the US, Canada and around the globe.
Mr. Smith will ensure new products are launched successfully to both current and new clients. He will work closely with our strategic partners to ensure benefits are achieved for partners and clients. In the very near future Mr. Smith will assess other areas of the world for global expansion of Textura's services.

Mr. Smith joins Textura after 6 years at FrontRange Solutions where he ran sales and was part of a management team that grew the company from $60 Million to $130 Million. Mr. Smith also helped lead the company to a liquidity event with Francisco Partners. During that time he restructured the sales team and introduced new products to the market to help rapidly grow revenue. Prior to FrontRange Solutions, Mr. Smith was Vice President of Sales and Service for 3Com Corporation for 7 years where he gained experience running a $1 Billion business with multiple distribution channels. Mr. Smith also served as an Area Director at Oracle Corporation where his team sold the Oracle Application Suite.
