Textura Selected as One of ENR Magazine's Top 25 Newsmakers of 2009
Patrick Allin, Textura Chairman and CEO, honored by ENR Magazine for 'Putting the 'Pay' Back Into Paycheck.'
CHICAGO, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Textura Corporation announces the selection of Patrick Allin as one of ENR Magazine's "Top 25 Newsmakers of 2009" for his success in transforming "the time-consuming business of bank draws and lien waivers into a smooth, secure, digital process" that has had a major, positive impact on the construction industry.
About the award, ENR Magazine says, "Many people serve to improve the construction industry every day. And each year, for 45 years, the editors of ENR have reviewed the stories they have written during the year and selected people featured in them for special recognition. They are chosen for delivering innovations, achievements and services that advance the construction industry…. ENR salutes all the Top 25 Newsmakers of 2009." Each Newsmaker will be honored at the Award of Excellence gala in New York City on April 8.
At his weekly address to employees last Friday, Patrick stated that this award was recognition of the contributions and achievements of all employees. "When I accept this award it will be on behalf of all employees of Textura Corporation. This is not an individual award. It is an acknowledgement of the contributions that each individual and each group within Textura has made to the delivery of our Construction Payment and Pre-Qualification services to contractors throughout the construction industry."
Allin continued to say that "The IT group has delivered impressive functionality of very high quality. The Operations staff has provided our clients with superior service. This has been critical in our ability to serve clients properly and to influence how the construction industry operates. We consciously set the bar very high to ensure our clients see real value from our applications."
Herb Brownett, an SVP of Textura and past National Chairman of the Construction Financial management Association (CFMA), commented at the meeting that "there really is no higher honor in the construction industry. Everyone should be very proud of this selection by ENR. Hopefully it motivates us to achieve even greater things in the future."
ENR Magazine concluded "Textura may eventually become a new kind of social network. In the Fall [October 2009] it expanded into online prequalification. Already, a dozen general contractors and 6,000 subs are using it."
Founded in 2004, Textura has developed the only robust collaborative industry solutions for construction payment management, Textura—CPM, and for pre-qualification, Textura—PQM. Textura—CPM integrates all construction payment management process components into one seamless work flow, helping contractors and others involved in construction projects realize significant benefits from automation and streamlining. Textura—PQM automates the entire pre-qualification process for everyone by facilitating the electronic submission, review, approval and updating of all pre-qualification documents.
