AUSTIN, Texas, May 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday, May 7, Texas Secretary of State Carlos Cascos will continue his Down to Business tour by meeting with CEOs and business leaders in Austin.
"Austin is a thriving economy attracting investment and business development every day," said Secretary Cascos. "This meeting is a way to hear directly from CEOs who have made the move to Texas about what attracted them to the state and learn additional ways we can help their businesses grow."
The event is hosted by YTexas, a CEO network designed to help newly relocated businesses, and SoftServe, a member organization of the YTexas network and leading software product and application development and services company that has recently relocated to Austin, Texas.
Ed Curtis, CEO of YTexas, stressed the importance of creating a connection with the Secretary and area CEOs. "This is the first step in building a working relationship between our organization and the Secretary. We are looking forward to this," said Curtis.
In June 2014, SoftServe relocated its US Headquarters from Fort Myers, FL to Austin. Now, almost a year later, SoftServe is going to share its experience of successfully establishing a corporate presence in Austin`s highly competitive business environment.
"Austin is the perfect strategic location for our headquarters as it has excellent domestic and international transport links, plus enables us to be closer to our significant client base in the area. It has also allowed us to showcase our innovative software solutions and services at industry leading events like SXSW Interactive and the Cloud Developers Summit and Expo." said Juan Turruellas, EVP World Wide Sales and Marketing, SoftServe. "SoftServe is committed to continuing to grow its presence in Austin."
Sworn in on March 7, Secretary Cascos has since traveled the state on his Down to Business tour to highlight the strength and diversity of the Texas economy. Other cities Secretary Cascos has visited include: Houston, Pearland, El Paso, Dallas, Nacogdoches and Lufkin. You can follow his tour on Twitter with the hashtag #DowntoBusinessTX.
