Texas Rare Earth Resources Announces Initiation of Stream Sediment Sampling Program
HOUSTON, April 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Rare Earth Resources Corp (OTCQB: TRER) announced today it has begun a stream sediment sampling program at its Round Top Mountain rare earth-beryllium-uranium project in Hudspeth County, Texas which also includes niobium, tantalum and gallium. The objective is to determine if the geochemical signatures from the stream sediments can be used to identify areas of higher grade in the massive rhyolite.
To date, a total of fourteen first order streams from the radial drainages off Round Top and Little Round Top Mountains were sampled. The company has received the results for the first three of the samples, the rest are still being processed. The first analyses show variation considerably above the average value of the rhyolite and heavy rare earth element (HREE) percentages of up to 90% in the coarse fractions of two of these samples.
Stanley Korzeb, VP of Exploration for Texas Rare Earths stated: "These preliminary results are encouraging and we will continue with the program and complete the stream sediment program for all the drainages on Round Top and Little Round Top."
