DALLAS, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) today announced that Brian Crutcher, worldwide manager of the Embedded Processing and Custom businesses, has been elected a senior vice president of the company. Crutcher will lead the strategy, product development and delivery of TI's fast-growing portfolio of Embedded Processing and Custom products.
"Brian is an experienced leader who has dedicated his career to customers across multiple industries," said Rich Templeton, TI chairman, president and chief executive officer. "His insights drive him to deliver products customers want and break-through technologies that keep TI at the forefront."
Crutcher joined TI in 1995 and has held a number of positions in the company's sales force, including vice president of the Americas. Most recently, Brian was vice president and general manager of the Microcontroller Products (MCU) business unit. He oversaw the development, marketing, engineering and operations for microcontrollers used in a variety of applications, including ultra-low power consumer electronics, industrial automation equipment, portable medical devices, automotive applications and more.
Crutcher earned a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the University of Central Florida and a master's degree in business administration from the University of California, Irvine.
