AUSTIN, Texas, June 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Most of Texas was set to get its first beak in the extreme weather in weeks, allowing surging rivers to recede as emergency-management officials turn their attention to cleanup. Reflections on the states recent floods in 2015 from the stage and the trade show floor will take place at this year's StormCon in Austin. The North American Surface Water Quality Conference will host about 2,000 people confronting the regulatory, financial, and best management practices required to manage the recent stormwater problems facing the state and other locations around the country.

Public and private-sector professionals are welcome to attend the conference, along with all others responsible for stormwater management, including municipal managers, state and federal regulators, engineers, consultants, highway and heavy-construction contractors, developers, compliance professionals, design professionals, researchers, nonprofit professionals, and officials at special sites such as ports, airports, and military bases.
The pre-conference kicks off on Sunday, Aug. 2, with a full day of accredited workshops and certification courses. Each workshop provides 0.5 continuing education units.
