Texas de Brazil Opens Its 55th Brazilian-American Steakhouse In McAllen, Texas Today

The new 6,300 square-foot restaurant accommodates over 200 guests in a lively, colorful environment that features an expansive salad area, an open grill kitchen, a feature table, wine cellar, an intimate lounge and semi-private dining space.

Guests of Texas de Brazil enjoy a lively, upscale dining experience and engaging service.  Inside the beautifully-decorated restaurant, guests begin dinner with a visit to the enticing salad area featuring over 50 items including Brazilian specialties, freshly-prepared salads, charcuterie and imported cheeses, roasted vegetables, smoked salmon, Moqueca (Brazilian fish stew), creamy lobster bisque and much more. 

At Texas de Brazil, "gauchos" use the time-honored methods of grilling meats over charcoal, resulting in savory aroma and exceptional flavor.  Renowned for its genuine rodizio-style dining, patrons are also treated to a continuous selection of meats freshly-grilled and carved tableside from skewers by costumed gauchos who deliver succulent picanha (sirloin), lamb chops, leg of lamb, filet mignon, chicken breasts wrapped in bacon, Brazilian sausages and more.  Guests dictate the meals pace with a simple flip of the green or red disk.  Green indicates to the gauchos when additional servings are welcome while red indicates a break is needed.  This style of service helps make Texas de Brazil fitting for a quick dinner or a leisurely meal with friends, family, and business associates.

Mouthwatering desserts are served a la carte for those seeking a sweet ending to dinner, and an impressive wine collection features private label wines bottled exclusively for Texas de Brazil by Santa Rita Vineyards in Chile.  Additionally, guests can choose from an award-winning variety of labels from the world's top wineries or toast with signature cocktails including a traditional Caipirinha available in a variety of flavors, plus an array of premium spirits and specialty libations.

Texas de Brazil is located in the new expansion wing at La Plaza, the premier shopping destination in the Rio Grande Valley, and faces Interstate 2.  Open for dinner Monday-Thursday 5-9:30 p.m.; Friday 5-10 p.m.; Saturday 4-10 p.m. and Sunday 4-9 p.m.
