DALLAS, Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas de Brazil Churrascaria makes its debut in Connecticut tonight when it opens for dinner at the upscale Westfarms Mall in Hartford's affluent suburb of Farmington. The family-owned Brazilian steakhouse offers guests authentic churrasco, rodizio-style service and the generous Southern hospitality that makes this a standout dining destination for large and small parties alike. The 6500 square-foot restaurant features a vibrantly-decorated dining room and seating for over 200, an open grill kitchen, expansive salad area, intimate lounge, and an award-winning wine cellar.

When guests arrive, they are invited to visit the salad area that includes freshly-prepared hot and cold side dishes. The offerings includes a variety of gourmet artisan breads, imported cheeses, fresh buffalo mozzarella, steamed asparagus with marmalade sauce, Brazilian hearts of palm, shrimp salad, sushi, sautéed mushrooms, feijoada (black beans), jasmine rice, Moqueca (Brazilian Coconut Fish Stew), lobster bisque and much more. The options help make this the steakhouse even vegetarians love.™
When ready for the main course, guests flip a two-sided disc located at each seat from red to green, and gauchos (servers) begin to carve tableside a selection of meats grilled to perfection over natural wood charcoal – a tradition passed down through generations of gauchos from Southern Brazil. The slow-roasted meats include Brazilian picanha (sirloin), lamb chops, filet mignon, leg of lamb, Parmesan-crusted pork loin, bacon wrapped chicken breast and more. When a break is needed in the unending flow of mouthwatering meats, guests simply turn their disc back to red. This unique style of dining helps guests fit Texas de Brazil into any timeframe – from leisurely meals with friends and family or efficient visits with business associates.
An approachable collection of wine includes varietals from acclaimed California and South America vineyards to Texas de Brazil's exclusive private label selection bottled in Chile is available to complement the menu. The lounge offers craft cocktails including Caipirinhas featuring Brazilian cachaça, a distilled spirit made from fermented sugarcane juice, and a full selection of beer and soft drinks such as the Brazilian Guarana.
Classic desserts served a la carte include the Brazilian flan, deliciously rich Brazilian papaya cream and Brazilian Cheesecake plus sweet specialties such as pecan pie, carrot cake, key lime pie, and Eli's Pumpkin Praline Cheesecake available for a limited time this fall.
Lunch service will soon be added, but for now dinner service is available Mon.-Thurs. 5-9:30 p.m., Fri. 5-10 p.m., Sat. 4-10 p.m., and Sun. 4-9 p.m. Happy Hour is Mon.-Fri. from 4:30-6 p.m. and features specialty cocktails from $3.
Pricing for an adult full menu is $44.99; salad area only is $24.99. When purchased with a full-price adult meal, youths 6-12 years old dine at a 50% discount; 3-5 year-olds dine for $5; and those under two dine complimentary. Complimentary parking is available.
