AUSTIN, Texas, March 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Combined Agents of America, LLC (CAA) continued its growth trend by writing more than $738.5 million in property and casualty premium in 2014, compared to some $707.8 million its members wrote in 2013. CAA's growth stemmed largely through organic growth, membership growth and member agencies participating in mergers and acquisitions. CAA further produced $92.2 million in total property and casualty revenue in 2014. CAA is a closed managing general agency committed to strengthening the independent insurance agency system through profitable growth, quality and service with members located in Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma.
"CAA experienced rapid growth – some 26% percent in premium – over the last 2 years. Our great group of members generated some great wins for CAA! In the last 9 months, individual member agencies have grown an estimated $38 million through M&A alone," said Bill Martin, CAA president and president of Grona Boles Martin Bloxsom Insurance, San Antonio, Texas. "For 2 years running, we have also earned the ranking as the 4th largest aggregator group in the nation according to the Insurance Journal. This year we look to rank even higher!"
For the second year, this insurance aggregator group's annual premium numbers included crop insurance premiums, as agriculture business continues to play an important role in the book of business of CAA's Kansas members. In 2014, $22.7 million in crop insurance premium was included in the total CAA premium number.
Without including this new addition of crop insurance premium, CAA grew some 26% through organic growth, membership growth and members individually participating in M&A in the last 2 years compared to the $566.7 million in premium it wrote in 2012.
Additionally, CAA also generated some $64.7 million in life and health premiums in 2014.
