Texas Association for Infant Mental Health becomes First3Years

SAN ANTONIO, May 4, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The only Texas statewide nonprofit that serves infants and toddlers by educating those that care for and work with them today births a new name, logo and tagline. The nonprofit's mission and Endorsement® process remains the same.

Renaming Texas Association for Infant Mental Health (TAIMH) to First3Years comes at an exciting time for the organization. Sponsorships and donations are at an all-time high, as are memberships and new community-based projects.

"Texas Association for Infant Mental Health is a mouthful," said Susan Hoff, board chair, First3Years. "We felt like we owe it to our three-decades of service to come up with a name that reflects the folks we impact: those in their first three years of life."

"We believe that if babies and toddlers truly get their social, emotional and developmental needs met in these first three, critical years, the outcomes over a lifetime for these children are exponentially improved."
