TES Global Brings Voice of the Teacher; Digital Transformation Experience to EdTech Europe 2015
AUSTIN, Texas and LONDON, March 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Confirmed as co-host for June 18 event in London
At the close of SXSWedu this week, EdTech Europe, the leading education technology focused conference platform in Europe, revealed that leading international digital education company TES Global will be joining its June event as co-host for the second year.
Encouraging involvement from its extensive community of almost 7 million teachers, TES Global will be helping elevate the voice of teachers at the event. A TES-organized panel will feature educators evaluating the true impact of technology in the classroom, while TES Labs, the place where teachers and start-ups develop education technology products, will also showcase its work.
New TES Global CEO Rob Grimshaw will participate in a Digital Transformation Panel, allowing him to share his experience of the successful digital transition strategy executed during his time as Managing Director of FT.com. He will also detail how learnings from his time at the Financial Times can apply to his new role at TES Global and the education industry as a whole.
Mr. Grimshaw also joined EdTech Europe's European All Stars Morning Mixer session at SXSWedu this week, taking part in a European EdTech: Industry Leaders Share Lessons Learnt discussion with Kelli Campbell, SVP Discovery Education and Charles McIntyre, CEO of IBIS Capital and Co-Founder of EdTech Europe. The panellists engaged in a lively conversation about innovation within the European marketplace, presented investment insights, and offered predictions of what's next for the EdTech industry.
"EdTech Europe plays a very important role in bringing together and increasing collaboration between global leaders in education and technology. Teachers obviously play a vital role in helping steer and improve technology in the classroom and we're delighted to be able to present perspectives and insights from our thriving community," said TES Global CEO Rob Grimshaw.
At 2014's EdTech Europe event, TES Global's former CEO, Louise Rogers participated in a panel entitled "Media Giants Investing in EdTech" and engaged with other leading education executives representing Discovery Education, Sanoma Learning, DC Thompson, and Hobsons.
Join TES Global and EdTech Europe for the 2015 summit, which will be held at Kings Place in London, UK on 18 June.
