Terlato Wines to import the wines of Château de La Tour, renowned & iconic Côte de Nuits producer.

LAKE BLUFF, Ill., Feb. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Terlato Wines today announced it will import the wines of Château de La Tour and the Labet family, one of the world's most renowned and respected Burgundian Domaines.

Château de La Tour was established by the ancestors of the current owners in the late 1800s, and under their careful direction they became known for crafting wines of elegance, intensity and perfume. Their wines have often been referenced as impressive and iconic expressions of Clos-Vougeot in the Côte de Nuits. The Labet and Déchelette families own important parcels of the Clos-Vougeot Grand Cru most of which are home to very old vines, and they have the unique privilege of being the sole producer to have their winery within the Clos itself. With 15 acres, Château de La Tour also is the largest holder within Clos Vougeot.

Today the ownership of the Château and its vineyards remains in the control of the same families, and the farming and winemaking are in the thoughtful and capable hands of François Labet. François also is one of the region's most important figures, President of Union des Grands Crus, producing both the wines of Château de La Tour and Domaine Pierre Labet, making great use of the Château's winery and cellar.

The wines of Château de La Tour are highly sought after by fine wine lovers and collectors the world over. François is deeply committed to terroir. "I was born in this Château in the heart of Clos Vougeot and my purpose is to bring alive all that this vineyard has to offer," said François Labet.
