Teresa Henderson Joins Burson-Marsteller as Southwest Market Leader, Managing Director, U.S. Corporate and Financial Practice
NEW YORK, Feb. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Burson-Marsteller, a leading strategic communications and global public relations firm, today announced Teresa Henderson has joined as Market Leader for the Southwest and a Managing Director in the firm's U.S. Corporate and Financial Practice. She is based in Dallas and reports to Alan Sexton, Chair of the U.S. Corporate Practice and New York Market Leader.
Henderson has 25 years of experience as a trusted C-suite advisor and has deep experience in corporate communications, reputation, and issues and crisis management across multiple industries including healthcare, consumer, technology, energy, education and professional services. In her new role, she will manage a variety of clients and help drive business development in the Southwest market.

Before joining Burson-Marsteller, Henderson was Senior Vice President of Client Development for Saxum, an energy-focused agency, and was instrumental in winning clients including Hess Corp., Interstate Natural Gas Association of America and RigNet, among others. From 2011 to 2014, she served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Pierpont Communications' Dallas office, where her clients included Saudi Aramco, Sunoco Logistics, Emirates Airlines and private equity and management consulting firms. Prior to that, Henderson was an Executive Vice President at Edelman, where she was General Manager for Edelman's Dallas and Austin offices as well as head of the firm's Southwest Corporate Practice. She also spent six years at Ketchum as director of the firm's Dallas office and liaison to Central America.
Henderson began her career as a copywriter at Runner's World magazine and has held corporate positions with subsidiaries of Pillsbury Corp. and Danaher Corp.
