Terenine's Aaron Shelley and Buddy Goolesby Awarded the Prestigious Accredited Tier Specialist from the Uptime Institute
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., Dec. 7, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Terenine(SM) Technology Solutions announces Aaron Shelley, Senior Solutions Architect, and Buddy Goolesby, Technical Facilities Manager, have been awarded the prestigious Accredited Tier Specialist from the Uptime Institute.
The Accredited Tier Specialist (ATS) course is designed to provide data center managers and their support teams with clarity and insight on how to better improve data center operations through the use of Uptime Institute Standards. ATS courses are led by Uptime Institute senior faculty who develop and apply the Institute Standards at high availability facilities worldwide.
Terenine's commitment to high availability, security and reliability for their clients is reflected in this investment in the skill set of the management team directly responsible for Terenine's data center uptime.
Mr. Goolesby has been with the company since 2009, and drove the design and implementation of Terevault™, Terenine's Tier III Design Certified Data Center. He is responsible for more than 20 miles of copper and fiber cabling, including an underground campus-wide conduit system that serves all three highly-available data centers at the Chattanooga campus. Mr. Goolesby's contributions enabled Terevault to become the 13th Design Certified Data Center in the U.S. and the only one in Tennessee.
Mr. Shelley has been with Terenine since 2006, and was instrumental in the design and implementation of Terevault. He works with Terenine's clients to develop cloud-based solutions and to align technical infrastructure with business needs. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from Yale University.
As a Tier III Design Certified Data Center, Terevault has met the stringent infrastructure requirements of the Uptime Institute's accreditation program, and all aspects of the center are concurrently maintainable. This means there are no single points of failure. Every piece of equipment, from heating and cooling to IT equipment, has a back up and can be removed for maintenance or replacement without impact on services or facilities. Additionally, no annual shutdowns for routine maintenance are required.
