SAN DIEGO, Feb. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- To expand the depth and breadth of data management within a Apache™ Hadoop^® data lake, Teradata Corp. (NYSE: TDC), the big data analytics and marketing applications company, today launched Teradata Loom^® 2.4. Teradata Loom dramatically increases productivity for data scientists and analysts, because it reduces the time and effort to find and use the data needed for advanced analytics.

Teradata Loom now offers comprehensive data lineage, integrated metadata, and data wrangling for Java Script Object Notation (JSON) data, the primary data format for the Internet of Things (IOT), mobile devices, sensors, and web browsers. In addition, Teradata Loom provides faster query performance with the use of partitions to better organize data in Apache™ Hive. Support for International data formats has been added to make it easier to wrangle dates and currency data.
