Teradata customers from across industries will lead sessions, including Banque Populaire, Carrefour, DHL Express, eBay, Lufthansa, METRO group, Nokia, and O2. Hermann Wimmer, Teradata president Europe, Middle East and Africa and Mike Koehler, Teradata president and chief executive officer will open the event with remarks on the company's position and strategy through 2010. Keynote speakers at the event will include Germany's former Minister for Foreign Affairs Joschka Fischer and business futurist Tom Peters, author of the classics "In Search of Excellence" and "Re-imagine!"
As Europe's largest annual event devoted to data warehousing, advanced analytics and business intelligence, the conference features presentations primarily by Teradata customers and industry luminaries – whose enthusiasm and innovation will inspire listeners and provide rich business insight that participants cannot get anywhere else.
In his keynote speech, Silvester Macho, managing director of MGI METRO Group Information Technology GmbH will discuss new information requirements affecting the retail industry and how to turn this to business advantage. In a separate section of the program dedicated to the automotive industry, experts will reveal how data warehousing can be used to manage quality and supply chains. Speakers will include Winfried Gunther, head of the "Advanced Quality Analysis" project at Daimler, and Dr. Rudolf Schubert, Senior Manager Launch Quality, Reliability and Processes at Continental Automotive.
Today's healthcare organizations are experiencing transformation as data needs grow, and Professor of International Health at the Karolinska Institute (Stockholm) Hans Rosling will discuss these powerful trends.
