ATLANTA, Feb. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Teradata Corp. (NYSE: TDC), the big data analytics and marketing applications company today announced the appointments of Bob Fair and Hermann Wimmer as co-presidents, Teradata, reporting to Mike Koehler, chief executive officer of Teradata Corporation. The appointments are effective February 27, 2015.
Teradata is elevating the positions of these experienced executives in order to better align the company for growth in its major markets. Bob Fair will lead the Teradata Marketing Applications Division and Hermann Wimmer will lead the Teradata Data and Analytics Division. These appointments acknowledge the successful accomplishments of Fair and Wimmer as they direct Teradata's future growth.
Each division will be an integrated global business, including R&D, sales, marketing, consulting, and services, and each will concentrate on growing Teradata's market reach and on addressing broader market opportunities.
The Teradata Data and Analytics Division will have a clear focus on the Unified Data Architecture™, best-in-class analytics and big data solutions. Encompassing data warehousing, big data analytics, and Teradata Cloud, the division will continue to develop its expertise and technology innovation to drive growth and extend Teradata's leadership in the global data and analytics market.
The Teradata Data and Analytics Division will be led by Hermann Wimmer, formerly president of Teradata's International region. Under Wimmer's leadership, the International region, comprising the Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific markets, grew revenue 8 percent in constant currency in 2014 and averaged 10 percent in constant currency revenue growth for the past three years. Wimmer has built a record of developing new and emerging markets, successfully growing customer accounts, and integrating acquisitions. He has held management positions in sales, marketing and services.
The Teradata Marketing Applications Division will be committed to growing revenues of the Teradata Integrated Marketing Cloud portfolio, which includes industry-leading solutions in Marketing Resource Management, Campaign Management and Digital Messaging. This division will enhance and expand our solutions and services, both in the cloud and on-premises, to address the evolving needs of marketing today and to go broader in the market.
This division will be led by Bob Fair, formerly Teradata's executive vice president and chief marketing and information officer. He will continue to lead Teradata's Corporate Marketing and IT Services functions, and will add responsibility for Corporate Operations. Fair brings extensive management experience in building and growing high-performing global sales and services organizations. Additionally, he has successfully directed the functions of corporate strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, marketing, and information technology services.
