Teradata Announces Newest Telecommunications Client in Brazil

SAO PAULO and SAN DIEGO, Nov. 11, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Teradata Corporation (NYSE: TDC) announced that TIM Cellular S.A., the second largest mobile and broadband telecommunications provider in Brazil, purchased a Teradata Data Warehouse Appliance.

Due to the complexity of the project, which has records on 44 million customers, the project implementation will be completed in stages over several months. The deployment of the Teradata Data Warehouse Appliance will include the migration of the existing Oracle database to a single, centralized data warehouse to support the analytic needs of all TIM business units.
