LONDON, July 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Responding to significant growth in the North American market, Tentsile expands its executive and sales teams. As the global leader and first to market with innovative Tree Tents, Tentsile announces the expansion of its Global Leadership and North American Sales Team.
"As we grow, we need to ensure we have the right teams in place," said Alex Shirley-Smith, CEO and Founder of Tentsile. "We are putting the right people in roles specific to their strengths to respond to consumer interest while at the same time fully supporting our retail partners in North America and beyond."
Joining the Tentsile executive team in the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer is Patricia Babka. Patricia will reside in the United States but manage operations globally. She has spent 30 years building a reputation as one of the active lifestyle industries leading executives and has held senior leadership and key accountability positions with Totes Isotoner, Acorn, Skins USA, Franklin Resource Group, Columbia and North Face. Additional promotions to the executive team include long time Tentsile team member Robert Shirley-Smith as Global Operations Director, Jethro Shirley-Smith as Global Sales Director, and Kirstie Grego as Global Marketing Director.
Continued Shirley-Smith, "Building on our first five years of success we will continue to foster growth for our brand, engaging people in our mission to protect the World's forests, and innovating with products that move the dial in the outdoor industry. One avenue to do this is ensuring we have a world class sales organization to engage our retailers. We are excited to have put together the right team to enhance our execution at wholesale."
Tentsile's North American sales force will continue to establish and nurture relationships with retail partners. The teams will ensure partners have point of sale displays that bring the brand and its products to life at retail, and assist with sell-through to consumers. The sales teams include: Clayton Incorporated (Danny Clayton) in New England; Moraine Sales (Todd Fairbairn) in the Mid-Atlantic; Apogee Group (Lewis Bernard) in South Central; Treeline Sales (Ben Phillips) in the Southeast; Cairn Company (Scott Ohsman) in the Pacific Northwest; and Wingard Sales (Craig and Kristi Wingard) in California and Nevada.
About Tentsile:
Discover the future of camping with Tentsile, portable tree houses that combine the comfort and versatility of a hammock with the security and multi-person occupancy of a tent. Inspired by their love of trees and the Ewok village from Star Wars, Tentsile is the ideal low-impact portable shelter. The unique design allows groups of people to enjoy the experience of camping amongst the trees, suspended just above the ground for increased separation from insects, predators, damp or uneven terrain. For each tent they sell, Tentsile plants eighteen new trees with partner organisations WeForest and The Eden Project. Both of these international non-profits promote pioneering movements in large-scale sustainable reforestation and poverty alleviation initiatives. To date, Tentsile's efforts have resulted in the planting of over 325,000 trees. Follow their #BecomeOneOfTheMillion campaign as they work towards a goal of over million trees planted by 2022.
Tentsile is an award-winning brand, a recipient of the 2015/2016 ISPO Brand New Award as well as the German Design Council's gold award for ground-breaking design in the sports, outdoor activities and leisure field. Socialise with us @Tentsile on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
