Tennessee Recycling Coalition's Paper Recycling Workshop at MTSU
Event aims to offer tools to enhance paper recycling knowledge, provide solutions
MEMPHIS, Tenn., May 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Tennessee Recycling Coalition (TRC), in collaboration with the Southeast Recycling Development Council (SERDC), will conduct a paper recycling workshop on Monday, May 23 at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) in Murfreesboro, Tennessee from 9am-2pm CDT. International Paper is a sponsor of this paper workshop along with the other three workshops that have been offered around the state during May.
This workshop will focus on paper recovery and highlight the economic impact of recycling in Tennessee and the Southeast. Attendees will gain a greater knowledge about processing, markets and grading of paper as well as obstacles and solutions that recyclers constantly face. Anyone interested in paper recycling is encouraged to attend, including those hoping to start a paper recycling program.
The workshop will include presentations from recycling industry representatives, including International Paper, QRS, SERDC, and the Recycling Marketing Cooperative of Tennessee. MTSU will also provide details on their recycling programs. A tour of a local recycling facility will be included as well. This workshop is free to members of TRC and the price for non-members is only $15, which includes the workshop and lunch.
