LOS ANGELES, June 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Tennenbaum Capital Partners, LLC ("TCP"), an alternative investment management firm, is pleased to announce that John Mendell has joined TCP as a Director based in the firm's Los Angeles office. Mendell will focus on developing and enhancing the firm's current and prospective institutional investor relationships.

Mendell was previously a principal with Ares Management, where he was responsible for business development with North American institutional investors and consultants. Mendell earned his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Business and a BA from Yale University.
