Tencent's Personal Cloud Storage Platform, Weiyun, Partners with Microsoft, Creating a Time-saving Shortcut for Office Document Editing
SHENZHEN, China, Dec. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/-- Increasing demand for information processing and document storage has led to ever more people shifting from a physical hard drive to cloud-based storage. Tencent recently released iOS and Android versions of its Weiyun cloud storage platform with significant time-saving features needed in an office environment including document management and editing. One of the highlights is Weiyun's association with Microsoft Office, delivering a shortcut for office document editing.
Weiyun is China's first, and one of the world's first, cloud storage apps featuring association with Microsoft Office. Users are able to directly edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents via Weiyun with all the edits being automatically saved onto the cloud storage platform.
In addition, users can easily add Weiyun via Add a Place menu in the latest Android versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint and then edit, save and share the documents.
Weiyun announces more than 400 million users covering the gamut from experienced office workers to students just starting out. The feature integration as a result of the partnership with Microsoft Office has been proven to increase work efficiency and be a significant time saver for users.
Weiyun and Microsoft Office plan to further enhance cooperation in areas such as document management, real-time synchronization and editing.
