Ten Years, $300 Million in TXU Energy Cash Back Loyalty Rewards

DALLAS, Feb. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Hundreds of thousands of Texans are starting the year with extra money in their pockets, thanks to the TXU Energy Cash Back Loyalty Rewards program. For the 10^th year in a row, eligible TXU Energy customers will be enjoying this incentive as annual loyalty rewards reach their mailboxes this month.

Since its first payout in 2008, the TXU Energy Cash Back Loyalty Rewards program has delivered more than $300 million to eligible customers.

"We truly appreciate our residential and business customers, and we're thrilled to be sharing these loyalty rewards with so many fellow Texans," said Sydney Seiger, chief marketing officer for TXU Energy. "Our first year, the program paid $3 million. It has grown in popularity ever since, and we've paid more than $40 million each year for the past several years."

TXU Energy was the first electricity retailer to offer a loyalty rewards program. The payout is based on the amount of electricity that customers use while on an eligible plan during the previous year.
