ATLANTA, Oct. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Tempo Telecom LLC, a nationwide provider of no-contract prepaid wireless and home phone services, today announced that it hosted more than 250 Independent Agents at its 2014 national sales conference held the weekend of October 3, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nev.
At the conference, Tempo introduced its expanded network coverage capabilities, additional sales and distribution opportunities, and new product offerings which will all be rolled-out in the 4th quarter of 2014. These enhanced capabilities will provide a great foundation for growth in 2015 and include the following:
- Brand: The Lightyear Wireless brand will be replaced by Tempo, allowing representatives working with Tempo to now market former Lightyear Wireless products and services directly under the Tempo brand (Birch acquired the Lightyear wireless brand in September 2013). This integration also ensures one simple and consistent message behind the Tempo Brand: that Tempo meets the needs of all customers by offering products and services that fit into their lifestyle and budget.
- Network Diversity: Tempo launched a new GSM wireless network product that will allow customers to activate SIM cards and use GSM-unlocked devices on Tempo's no-contract, prepaid wireless service. The addition of a GSM wireless network adds to Tempo's already expansive CDMA wireless footprint and provides selling options not currently available from other wireless providers.
- Service Footprint: Tempo's service footprint where it offers its Lifeline wireless products now comprises 17 states, including: Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
Tempo also announced its national Lifeline expansion strategy for its Independent Agent network, as well as new training and support materials.
