Tellepsen Recognized for Safety Through Exemplary Performance

HOUSTON, Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Tellepsen, a leader in commercial and industrial construction, is pleased to be the recipient of the SILVER STEP (Safety Through Exemplary Performance) award for safety from The University of Texas System Office of Facilities Planning and Construction (OFPC). The award was presented in recognition of the company's leadership in promoting a culture of safety in the construction industry as demonstrated during the six-month period from December 1, 2010 to May 31, 2011 of the Hurricane Ike Infrastructure Recovery Project at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB Galveston).

The Hurricane Ike Infrastructure Recovery project spans 85 acres, and involves the complete phased reconstruction of UTMB Galveston's infrastructure.  When complete the infrastructure system will support over 90 buildings on the campus.  The campus-wide infrastructure repairs began in November of 2010 and are scheduled for completion in 2015.
