MINNEAPOLIS, July 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Cars for Courage, Courage Center's vehicle donation program, is pleased to announce that towing is now available for no charge in all 50 states.

Proceeds from Cars for Courage support the programs and services of Minneapolis-based Courage Center, a 501c(3) nonprofit rehabilitation resource center that advances the lives of children and adults experiencing barriers to health and independence. Courage Center serves over 11,000 people a year from throughout the United States and worldwide. Last year, more than 12 percent of clients came from outside the State of Minnesota.

Donating a vehicle to Cars for Courage is easy and gratifying because your donation is put to good use and is tax deductible.  You can donate your car, truck, motorcycle, boat, RV, snowmobile or other vehicle simply by calling 1-888-440-CARS (2277) or visiting the Cars for Courage website at www.couragecenter.org/cars. Minnesotans may also drop off their donation at any one of the program's 13 locations (listed on the website).

Courage Center manages Cars for Courage, so 100 percent of proceeds go directly to support its mission of empowering people with disabilities to realize their full potential in every aspect of life. Revenue from the sale of donated vehicles helps fill the gap in ever decreasing healthcare reimbursement dollars.

Since 1995, Cars for Courage has taken in more than $25 million worth of vehicles to support programs and services advancing the lives of children and adults living with disability and experiencing barriers to health and independence.
