Telgian Executives Present at National Fire Protection Association Conference

TEMPE, Ariz., June 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Fire, security, and life safety services provider Telgian Corporation today announced that two Telgian executives, Russ Leavitt and Bob Caputo, will be presenting at the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) conference June 22-25, 2015, in Chicago.

Russ Leavitt, SET, CFPS, executive chairman, will conduct two presentations on topics that include "Freeze Protection for Water-Based Fire Protection Systems" and "M20 NFPA 13-2016, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems Changes." Leavitt is part of a panel that includes the NFPA staff liaison for the automatic sprinkler technical committees and the chair of the automatic sprinkler correlating committee. The presentations will provide information on the conditions that trigger mandatory freeze protection along with approved options for meeting the requirement as well as changes to the installation requirement for NFPA 13-2016. The above presentations will take place back-to-back on June 22 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. CDT.

Bob Caputo, CFPS, CET, executive vice president, compliance solutions, will co-present two additional presentations on topics that include "T36 Inside the Pipe: NFPA 25, Standard for the Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems, Chapter 14 Explained" and "W21 NFPA 25, Standard for the inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Water- Based Fire Protection Systems, Dealing with Deficiencies." The presentations will provide information on conducting internal assessments of piping and other system components, such as check valves and alarm valves, and the process for addressing deficiencies associated with water-based fire protection systems. These presentations will take place on June 23 and June 24 from 11 a.m. to noon CDT.
