To assist with ongoing relief efforts, Land O'Frost partnered with eight prominent child stars, asking them to custom design and autograph classic lunch boxes to be auctioned online at www.biddingforgood.com. The goal of this program is to raise much needed funds to support volunteers who are helping residents and business owners recover from the May 2010 floods and help keep the needs of the region in the national spotlight. All proceeds raised from this special program will benefit Hands On Nashville, the non-profit organization that took a leadership position in recovery efforts shortly after the disaster struck.
Program participants include many prominent child actors from both television and film. These celebrity contributors include:
- Molly Quinn (and the entire cast) from ABC's hit show "Castle"
- Carissa Capobianco, who co-starred in Disney's major motion picture "Secretariat"
- Max Burkholder from NBC's acclaimed show "Parenthood"
- Kenton Duty from the ABC smash hit "Lost"
- Atticus Shaffer from the renowned comedy "The Middle" on ABC
- David Lambert from the Disney Channel original movie "Den Brother"
- Cassie Scerbo and Josie Loren from the ABC Family child drama series "Make It Or Break It"
"As a family-owned company, we feel a deep responsibility to give back, particularly to the communities where our employees and customers live and work," said David VanEekeren, president of Land O'Frost. "Through our contacts in the Middle Tennessee region, we know the continuing challenges facing Nashville residents are great and felt compelled to act to assist those people still in need and working very hard to rebuild their lives."

First of its kind, this special campaign to help the residents of Nashville inspired Land O'Frost to create a new program called "Lunch Boxes for Good" in which Land O'Frost will regularly engage high-profile celebrities to use their creativity and status to make a difference by decorating lunch boxes for charitable auction online. Each quarter, the company will feature new and different designs from high-profile celebrities from all walks of life, including television, film, sports and music with the proceeds benefiting a specific charity in need.
"We are so pleased to be the first charity benefiting from Land O'Frost's Lunch Boxes for Good program," said Brian N. Williams, executive director of Hands On Nashville. "In May, Tennessee was devastated by an epic flood. In just two days, the equivalent of 420 billion gallons of water inundated the region, causing 29 deaths and destroying important landmarks, such as the Grand Ole Opry, which only recently reopened. Although the massive damages will never be forgotten, neither will the remarkable response of volunteers. More than 21,000 served through Hands On Nashville alone. Our agency continues to need resources to help rebuild and to restore the community's vibrancy. Land O'Frost's fun charity auction is an important part of this ongoing effort, and we are a grateful beneficiary."
