TeleTracking Names Michael Gallup Senior Vice President
Key Hire Highlights Patient Flow Leader's Expansion
PITTSBURGH, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- TeleTracking Technologies today named Michael D. Gallup Senior Vice President to help address the growing demand it is receiving from hospitals committed to improving patient flow.
He joins TeleTracking from Hill-Rom, where he was vice president and general manager of Hill-Rom IT solutions (HITS), a global IT business unit. Gallup's first priority is to lead the North American sales effort for TeleTracking, the leading producer of patient flow automation solutions, and its subsidiary RadarFind, a maker of RFID-based asset tracking sensor networks.
Anthony Sanzo, TeleTracking CEO, said the appointment "recognizes the company's rapid growth and the need to add seasoned industry leaders like Mike to its senior management team.
"Mike Gallup has a solid reputation for team-building, client service and strategic execution," Sanzo said. "We are looking forward to his many and immediate contributions."
Other areas Gallup will address include the company's integration of patient flow and asset tracking technologies, the infection fighting capabilities they both provide, and the growing demand for TeleTracking's TransferCenter automation solution. Included in his responsibilities will be the operations for the acquired NaviCare Patient Flow team.
While at Hill-Rom, Gallup oversaw the launch of multiple IT-based products, a few of which Hill-Rom and TeleTracking have agreed to collaborate upon in the future. During his tenure at Hill-Rom he was able to migrate a nurse call-based business into the mainstream health IT market.
Previously, he was executive director of strategy and turnaround for Hillenbrand Industries, and prior to that he was an associate partner and engagement manager for IBM's Strategy Practice. He has an MBA in finance from the University of Georgia, and a BA in Economics from Brigham Young University.
