Telestax Recognized by Frost & Sullivan for Accelerating the Deployment of Communications Products with its Restcomm Platform
The white-label CPaaS enablement capabilities of the platform allow service providers and enterprises to manage a range of new products, features, and solutions
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Based on its recent analysis of the North American communications-platform-as-a-service (CPaaS) market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Telestax with the 2018 North American Enabling Technology Leadership Award for its cloud-based Restcomm platform. This white-label solution helps communications service providers as well as enterprises across the globe deploy a diverse range of new technology solutions as well as target new customers with vertical-specific product offerings at 'web speed'.
"The Restcomm platform delivers three key tiers of real-time communications enablement—CPaaS, SMS, and the Restcomm Marketplace," said Michael Brandenburg, industry analyst, Connected Work. "These tiers give the company the flexibility to build an ecosystem of service providers, application developers, and business consumers, and drive growth opportunities for all of them."
In the CPaaS enablement tier, the Restcomm platform presents application programming interfaces (APIs) as an overlay on a provider's existing IP-based communications services. Through APIs, third-party developers and enterprise development teams can manage a business' communications services, provision new lines or services, and even directly incorporate a provider's communications services into business workflows. This tier also includes a visual designer, which allows providers and businesses to custom-design call flows and interactive voice response (IVR) decision trees through a graphical web-based interface, without requiring coding.
The SMS enablement tier supports two-way text messaging for a service provider's entire telephone directory. Service providers can add a variety of key value-added services to their product portfolio, including API-driven notifications through business applications, omni-channel customer experience features, two-factor authentication, or enterprise SMS, helping business users communicate with their customers directly via text messaging.
Finally, with the Restcomm Marketplace, developers can directly integrate their communications-based offerings into the RestcommONE platform to facilitate their delivery to service providers and end-customers. Its applications include the full gamut of modern communications solutions, such as hosted private branch exchange (PBX), chatbots, omni-channel and contact center solutions, as well as mobile, conferencing, and intelligent voice mail applications. The Marketplace eases product provisioning and billing as well as showcases small or new developers' wares. Once an application is placed on the Marketplace, it is almost immediately available for purchase and consumption by all of Telestax's service provider partners and their customers.
"By overlaying Restcomm's white-label solution on top of their existing networks and infrastructure, service providers gain an advanced feature set and a level of agility previously unheard of in the telecommunications market, all with minimal investment and no significant infrastructure deployment," noted Brandenburg. "This suite of solutions is particularly important to Tier II and Tier III service providers, which often do not have large product teams. Telestax levels the playing field for these providers."
Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to a company that has developed a pioneering technology that not only enhances current products, but also enables the development of new products and applications. The award recognizes the high market acceptance potential of the recipient's technology.
