Telekom Austria Group and DigitalRoute Sign Framework Agreement

MediationZone delivers cost-effective consolidation of group-wide mediation. Telekom Austria Group and DigitalRoute also announce that A1 Telekom Austria fixed net business is the latest addition to the Platform

DigitalRoute, a leading provider of mediation solutions for the communications industry, today announced that the Vienna based Telekom Austria Group, the leading communications provider in Central and Eastern Europe, has signed a framework agreement for use of DigitalRoute's MediationZone product within the company. DigitalRoute's MediationZone provides the Telekom Austria Group with a cost-effective and vendor independent solution that allows it to achieve self-sufficiency and, ultimately, to converge all its mediation solutions in a single platform.

"As costs associated with processing the usage data generated by around 23 million customers continue to increase, we had to focus on increasing our cost efficiency," said Hans Pichler, Group Chief Technology Officer of the Telekom Austria Group. "DigitalRoute's MediationZone is able to consolidate many existing mediation systems with a single platform, significantly reducing processing costs."

Alongside the framework agreement, DigitalRoute and TAG are also announcing that A1 Telekom Austria's fixed net business has now successfully migrated to the MediationZone platform. This deployment went live in the beginning of November 2012. Thanks to this success the Telekom Austria Group is now using DigitalRoute's Solution Services Offering.

MediationZone is now already the mediation platform in five (Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Republic of Serbia and Republic of Macedonia) out of eight operating companies within the Telekom Austria Group. A groupwide rollout to the other companies within the footprint is planned.
