Telegent Appoints Vahid Manian as Senior Vice President of Business Operations
Seasoned Semiconductor Executive Brings Proven Operations Track Record as Industry Embraces TV as Standard Feature for Emerging Markets

Vahid brings an exceptional track record in operations expertise to Telegent. Prior to Telegent, Vahid served as senior vice president of global manufacturing operations at Broadcom Corporation, where he was responsible for all manufacturing activities including foundry operations and process technology direction. Vahid joined Broadcom in January 1996 as the company's founding operations executive and played an instrumental role in enabling its growth from startup to greater than $4.8 billion in revenue and shipping more than 1.2 billion devices per year by the time he left in 2008. During Vahid's tenure, Broadcom had industry-leading delivery performance, outstanding quality and best-in-class inventory management. He has developed and perfected the fabless semiconductor model and served as vice chairman of the Global Semiconductor Alliance. Prior to joining Broadcom, Vahid spent twelve years at Silicon Systems, Inc., a mixed-signal semiconductor manufacturer, the last six years serving as director of operations.
