Telect Unveils New USA Manufacturing Operations; Moves Into New Facility in Plano, Texas
More than $3 Million Investment in the Telecom Corridor; Facility Supports Data and Telecom Center Metal Fabrication and Systems Development
LIBERTY LAKE, Wash., Dec. 15, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Telect, a privately held developer and manufacturer of power and connectivity systems, equipment racks and cabinets, fiber optic and copper connectivity and other layer one network infrastructure solutions for communications and data center service providers, unveils its new USA manufacturing operations in Plano, Texas, today.
Telect, which has been located in Plano, Texas and the North American telecom corridor community since 2004 when it acquired the Hendry Telephone Products Company, now utilizes a 100,000-square-foot facility at 1801 10th Street. With a best-in-class GR487-designed paint system and new power systems development center, Telect's strengthened effectiveness will enhance the company's service of its North American customers and multinational original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Telect supports wireless and wireline service providers, data networks and OEMs, and effectively exports outside of North America from Plano.

With global headquarters in Liberty Lake, Wash., the Plano facility is utilized for manufacturing and integrating outdoor enclosures and power systems for wireless networks, equipment racks for data centers and telecom central office infrastructure, power distribution panels, and other products.
Telect invested more than $3 million in this state-of-the-art facility, including the new paint facility and other proprietary development investments for customers.
"In addition to manufacturing, the new facility will also serve as a center for systems development, and allow Telect customers to collaborate on innovative new designs," said Paul Knight, Telect's vice president of product development. "It's a place to try, test and show."
