Telco Systems Reports Over 20% Sales Growth for MEF CE 2.0 Compliant Devices in North America
Company cites sales growth driven by increasing demand from communications service providers for more wholesale and business services and bandwidth
MANSFIELD, Massachusetts, November 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --
Telco Systems, the leading provider of innovative SDN/NFV, CE 2.0, MPLS and IP solutions, today announced that the company experienced in the period ending on June 2017 over 20% year-to-year growth in shipments of its MEF CE 2.0 compliant devices across North America.
Telco Systems reports that this growth in sales is primarily being driven by an increased rollout of the company's demarcation and aggregation products used by communications services providers (CSPs) to enable wholesale and business services such as Direct Internet Access (DIA), Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN, Ethernet Network-to-Network Interface (ENNI), E-Rate and Cloud Access services.
In particular, Telco Systems is experiencing strong demand for its 100GE T-Metro 8100 service demarcation and aggregation platform. T-Metro 8100 is designed for service providers that need high reliability and flexibility to aggregate multiple services over 1GE, 10GE and 100GE port rates in metro Ethernet environments. T-Metro 8100 provides carrier-grade service scalability and resiliency along with a comprehensive feature set that supports QoS and OAM capabilities.
"We recently took the strategic decision to standardize our network infrastructure with Telco Systems' MEF CE 2.0 devices and over the past year we have significantly increased our use of these solutions," explained Ronald Shelton, Director of IP Networks at MetroNet. "Telco Systems and its innovative service demarcation and aggregation solutions have positioned MetroNet to meet the constantly increasing demand to deliver more services and more bandwidth. We are particularly excited about the T-Metro 8100 service capabilities for higher bandwidth applications."
Over the past year, Telco Systems has added twelve new CSP customers in North America. Today, the company has an installation base of over 130 Tier 1 and Tier 2 CSPs in North America alone.
"We are happy to strengthen our Carrier Ethernet product solutions leadership in the North American market and maintain our years of successful innovation and longstanding leadership in this market space," said Reinhard Florin, General Manager for North America at Telco Systems. "Looking forward, we have a healthy pipeline for our unique 100GE solution and we have strong expectations that the demand for this solution will continue to grow."
"We are certainly pleased with the growth of the Carrier Ethernet side of our business," stated Ariel Efrati, CEO at Telco Systems. "In parallel, we are experiencing strong interest for our uCPE solutions from telecommunications and managed service providers around the world looking for an efficient service delivery framework to rollout and manage new SDN and NFV based services."
Telco Systems will be presenting its full portfolio of solutions including the 100GE T-Metro 8100 and new uCPE solutions at the MEF17 event in Orlando, Florida on November 13-16 at Telco Systems' booth - #607.
